The Good Neighbor (2022) is a suspenseful thriller directed by Stephan Rick, serving as a remake of his 2011 German film Unter Nachbarn. The story centers on David (Luke Kleintank), an American journalist who relocates to Riga, Latvia, for a new job opportunity. There, he befriends his neighbor Robert (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), and their camaraderie takes a dark turn when they accidentally hit a woman on her bicycle and decide to flee the scene. As guilt consumes David, Robert becomes increasingly manipulative and controlling, determined to keep their secret hidden.
