The basic beliefs of this faith include monotheism, prophethood, and belief in the Hereafter. Its five pillars are: the Word, prayer, fasting, zakat, and hajj. The Holy Quran is the final book of this deen, which is a perfect source of guidance. The faith of Muslims teaches peace, love, justice, brotherhood, and morality.

The religion of peace emphasizes service to parents, helping the poor, truthfulness, and good morals. It protects against evil and encourages good deeds. The Holy Quran is the final book of guidance in Islam.

    Basic Beliefs of Islam

    There are three major beliefs in Islam:

    • Faith in Allah → Believing in Allah as One, Who is the Creator, Sustainer, and Owner of everything.
    • Faith in the Messengers → Believing in all the prophets (from Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) to Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him).
    • Faith in the Books → Believing in the books sent by Allah (Torah, Psalms, Gospel, and the last of all, the Holy Quran).

    • The Testimony of Faith → Believing in Allah as One and believing in the Prophet (peace be upon him) as His last Messenger.
    • Prayer (Salat) → Worshipping Allah five times a day.
    • Fasting (Sawm) → Obeying Allah by abstaining from food, drink, and sins during Ramadan.
    • Zakat → Giving a part of your wealth to the poor and needy.
    • Hajj → If you have the strength and ability, go to Mecca and perform Hajj once in your life.

    The Holy Quran is the last divine book of Allah Almighty that was revealed to Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ. This book is a guidance and light not only for Muslims but for all humanity. The Holy Quran contains guidance on every aspect of life. This book invites man to believe in monotheism, prophethood, and the Hereafter.

    The greatest virtue of the Holy Quran is that it is safe and unchangeable until the Day of Judgment. Not a single verse of it can be changed.It includes teachings on worship, morality, justice and fairness, knowledge, service to parents, and social equality.

    Islam is a perfect religion that was sent to improve both the world and the hereafter. Some of its prominent qualities are:

    • Oneness of Allah: Islam teaches man to worship only one Allah.
    • Justice and fairness: The faith of Muslims teaches to establish justice in all situations.
    • Peace and love: The religion of peace commands the spread of brotherhood and harmony among humanity.
    • Good morals: Truthfulness, patience, gratitude, mercy, and humility are the basic principles of this deen.
    • Social equality: In Islam, rich and poor are all equal; no one is superior based on race or color.
    • The path to salvation: This religion guarantees worldly peace and success in the hereafter.
    • The beauty of worship: Worship of Allah is considered the goal of life.
    • Serving parents: Obedience to parents and serving them is considered the best virtue.
    • Caring for orphans and the poor: The faith of Muslims teaches helping the weak and needy.
    • The virtue of knowledge: Acquiring knowledge is made obligatory on every Muslim.
